What Does It Take

Racks to grow coral

ADE Fiji Coral racks
These racks are manufactured by our local company and we use at least 8 racks on every site. Each rack holds over 200 coral plugs as you see here

These are the grow out racks we manufacture and use on the farms. Every village gets between 4 – 8 of these racks depending on the size of their reef that needs our help.

Pegs, pegs and more pegs

We manufacture these pegs then treat them in a special way that allows the coral to grow. Without our special treatment the pegs could make it hard for the coral to grow. That’s a lot of pegs but don’t forget, we need a million of them!

Buckets to move

Each bucket you see here holds 200 coral plugs ready to plant

We pack the pegs in buckets of 200 pegs each. This allows us to move them around to all the farms and store them safely. They can easily break if we don’t handle them with care.

It takes a sturdy tool to cut the clones from the mother colony of coral. They need to stand up to the heavy use our team gives them.
